Love and Time

Through all the fading memories

and all dissolving acts of love

You pickpocketed God at the marketplace

Smuggling Tragedy

And this is the play worth read out loud

Supple, eyes green, fingers long

I remember you could even surreptitiously move

a stone heart from its chest

and trade it for a cabbage or a frog

to amuse you sometimes

No pimp could ever enslave you

The orphanage mothered you like Michelangelo shaped rock

A great being spreading jasmine substance

A great being laughing a thousand violins

A great being that will never love anyone

For love eroded greatness of Time.
